On the 12th of June 2019, delegation of the French Mediterranean Maritime Defence Region CECMED,paid an informative visit to the Joint Coordination Center.

The delegation was briefed on the organization, operation and of the JRCC as well as on the ongoing upgrade programs of the Search and Rescue System of the Republic of Cyprus, while the excellent cooperation between the JRCC and the French Navy, on training and operational level, was emphasized.

Concluding his visit, the head of the delegation and civilian administrator of CECMED,Mr. Amaury De Guillebon expressed his satisfaction on the fine cooperation between the JRCC and the French Navy and confirmed France’s intention for its further improvement.
