On April 20th 2021, at 12:15 the JRCC received information about a vessel in danger, with 9 persons on board, in the sea area 11 NM SE of Cape Greco.
JRCC Larnaca activated the National Search and Rescue Plan "NEARCHOS", mobilizing Port and Marine Police Vessel “Apostolos Andreas”, which towed the boat in danger to Paralimni.
The services of the Republic of Cyprus, involved on the reception and the management of the rescued people, have been notified accordingly, for the actions within their competence, as described in the National Special Plan "NAUKRATIS" of the Ministry of Interior.
