On May 12th, a delegation from the French Combined Operations Centre, led by Lieutenant Colonel Marc LUCIANI, paid an informative visit to JRCC Larnaca, accompanied by the French Military Attachι in Cyprus, Lieutenant Colonel David LUCCHINI.

The French Delegation was briefed on the organization and operation of the JRCC as well as on the ongoing upgrade programs of the Search and Rescue System of the Republic of Cyprus, while emphasis was given on the cooperation related with the non-combatant evacuation operations from the Middle Eastern region and the support that the JRCC Larnaca can provide both in SAR incidents and by availing the "ZENON" Coordination Centre facilities.

Concluding their visit, the Head of the Delegation expressed his satisfaction for the existing excellent cooperation between the JRCC and the French Forces operating in the Eastern Mediterranean, which is being strengthened and upgraded through joint exercises.
