    On the weekend, 12 and 13 October 2022, a delegation of staff officers of the Serbian Ministry of Defence, representing the Serbian Search and Rescue System, paid an informative visit to the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC).

    This activity is included in the Cyprus-Serbia Defence Cooperation Programme and was aimed at informing both sides on how to manage SAR incidents in the area of responsibility of each state.

    In addition, the two Officers were briefed on the role played by the JRCC Larnaca in the wider Eastern Mediterranean region on issues related in search & rescue and more generally in support of humanitarian operations.
