On Monday 19 September 2022, a delegation of Australian diplomats led by the Australian High Commissioner to Cyprus, Ms. Fiona McKergow, paid a visit to the JRCC LARNACA on Monday 19 September 22.

The Australian High Commissioner and the diplomats were briefed by the Commander and the staff on the way the Centre is organized and operates, as well as on its role in the wider region of the South-Eastern Mediterranean and in particular on the level of readiness of the Centre to assist in any humanitarian operations including the evacuation of non-combatants from a neighboring area in crisis.
