On March 1st 2018, the Ambassador of Israel to Cyprus, His Excellency Mr. Shmuel Revel, paid an informative visit to the JRCC/ZENON.

The Ambassador was briefed on the organization, operation and upgraded role of the Republic of Cyprus and the JRCC in cases of crisis and evacuation of population from states of the Middle East to Cyprus, as well as for the ongoing development programs of the Search and Rescue System.

The Israeli Ambassador expressed his satisfaction regarding the overall organization and operational readiness of the SAR System of the Republic of Cyprus, as well as the crucial and key role the System is capable of playing in SAR, peacekeeping and humanitarian operations in the Eastern Mediterranean.
