On Thursday, 17th of June 2021, the Cyprus Joint Rescue Coordination Center welcomed the Defense Advisor of the United Kingdom in Cyprus, Colοnel Duncan Kavanagh, for an informative meeting.
The Defense Advisor was briefed by the Commander and Staff of JRCC on the Organization and Operation of the Center, as well as on its regional role in the Eastern Mediterranean. Additionally, issues of common interest related with Search and Rescue operations were discussed in the framework of the existing cooperation between the two countries.
The Colonel noted the high level of organization and readiness of the Center and confirmed his intention to support the further development of the cooperation between the UK and the Republic of Cyprus in SAR matters.
