The Ambulance Service of the Ministry of Health is the pioneer of the Intervention and Care Services in the health system.
Its mission is to provide emergency care to injured or sick persons at the stage of the accident or to the place where they are affected by an immediate illness and to be transported promptly and safely to the nearest appropriate hospital.
Providing emergency and appropriate health care is salvation. Effective response to emergencies is a matter of utmost importance to the credibility of any health system. Citizens have an undeniable right to state protection against any unforeseen threat to their lives.
A well-organized system that constitutes the chain of survival must be mobilized as soon as possible from the scene of the incident to the appropriate health formation where the unfortunate sufferer is transported.
Immediate activation of the system as well as the provision of outpatient care, rejuvenation, stabilization and transfer to the nearest and most appropriate medical center will begin as soon as the call is received, emergency recognition with citizen access.
