On Thursday, 19 August 2021, in the framework of his official visit to Cyprus, the Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Joseph Aoun, paid an informative visit to the facilities of JRCC Larnaca.

The General, accompanied by the Chief of the National Guard Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis, was briefed by the Commander and JRCC Staff, on the organization, operation, and the upgraded role of the Cypriot SAR System in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Further ways to strengthen the existing cooperation on SAR related issues were also discussed.
