On Wednesday, 2th of November 2022, and within the framework of the implementation of the Cyprus-Greece-Israel Trilateral Defence Cooperation. The table-top SAR exercise was conducted at the JRCC Larnaca, in order to practice and evaluate the agreed procedures that are to be implemented in case of an emergency close to the joint borders of the Search and Rescue Regions of the 3 states.
The exercise was attended by Officers representing the 3 JRCCs, Larnaca, Haifa, Piraeus and is a practical confirmation of the efforts of the 3 states to strengthen regional cooperation on search and rescue matters for the benefit improving the safety of mariners in the Eastern Mediterranean.
