On Thursday, 07 April 2022, the 18th meeting of the Joint Committee between Greece and Cyprus on Search and Rescue (SAR) matters, was held via telephone with the participation of representatives of the two Centers.
The main purpose of the meeting was to upgrade further the existing cooperation, to inform about the ongoing international and national programmes related with search and rescue, to exchange views and experiences in the coordination of search and rescue operations, to conduct joint SAR exercises and to bridge the actions at operational level for the benefit of those are in distress within the wider Eastern Mediterranean region.
