JRCC Larnaca announces that, during the afternoon hours of March 29th, 2025, it activated the National Search and Rescue Plan "NEARCHOS" twice, following the receipt of information concerning two individuals in distress. The first incident occurred in the sea area of Amathous, while the second took place in the sea area of Limassol.
For the investigation of the incidents, a helicopter from the Police Aviation Unit and a vessel from the Port and Marine Police were immediately deployed. After locating the individuals, the units remained in the area until they safely reached the shore.
