The Police Aviation Unit is now the spearhead of the SAR system of the Republic of Cyprus.
The 2 existing AB412 helicopters, reinforced recently with 2 new AW139 helicopters, are undoubtedly the quickest and most decisive way to respond in case of maritime or aeronautical accident within Cyprus’ Search and Rescue Region.
